The company was founded in 1931 in Sharjah by the late Mr.Mukhtar Al-Yousuf, and
named after his oldest son Mr. Hassan Mukhtar. In 1945, the operation moved to Dubai.
The trading center of the region. Within 5 years, the first division was established,
dealing with cigarettes. In 1958, this division was set up, dealing with toiletries and
other fast moving consumable goods.
DIVERSIFICATION OVER THE YEARS
Over the years; HASSAN MUKHTAR & BROTHERS BUILT ON THE SUCCESS, and
established many subsidiaries in diversified dustries; Today, the group owns:
1. COSMETIC DIVISION: Exclusive Agents and Distributors of BARBIE &
DISNEY Toiletries & Accessories,
P.V.M. PERFUMES U.S.A,
BRUT U.K & EU,
DENIM U.K & EU,
CUSSOS UK,
ETERNAL LOVE U.S.A, BAJAJ HERBAL, SMILE COSMETICS, INDUSTRIAL & TRADING CO. LTD. and ASSAD BLADES
throughout the UAE.
2. REAL ESTATE DIVISION: Managing and building many prime estates owned by the
group.
3. COMPUTERS DIVISION: Authorized dealers of some of the leading computer
components’ manufacturers, and software manufacturers. And assemblers of Arco
Computers in own assembling facility.
4. SOUVENEIRS DIVISION: Markets pioneers in designing, developing and distributing
souveneirs of the country and the region within the UAE, as well as some
neighboring markets.
